VITA is an IRS-sponsored program working with the WVASF and community organizations to provide high quality tax preparation to tax filers — free of charge! There are ~ 90 VITA sites located statewide. Dial 211 or click on the map above to find a VITA site near you.

FREE FILE Many VITA sites now offer Free File. Using easy to follow software, you can complete your own taxes, while having an IRS-certified volunteer available for assistance. Several sites also offer online service through the United Way My Free Taxes program. If you think you would be more comfortable completing your own taxes and have minimal computer skills, then Free File or My Free Taxes may be the right fit for you.
